A decorator works with what already exists: color, textiles, furniture, accessories. An interior designer also changes the space itself: layout, lighting, millwork, construction materials, and coordinates contractors so it gets built as designed. At RK Artside we do both. You can come to us for the decoration of one living room or a full remodel.
We charge a fixed fee per project, agreed before we start. We never charge a percentage of purchases or construction, because a percentage creates a conflict of interest: the more you spend, the more the designer earns. With a fixed fee our only incentive is that the space turns out well. Execution (materials, furniture, labor) is quoted separately and you approve it. Write to us and we will tell you the fee for your case.
Because we both see the same thing before spending a peso. Before buying a single material you get a 3D render of the finished space: colors, furniture, lighting, finishes. We review it together, adjust it, and you approve it. From there, no room for misunderstandings: that render is what we commit to build and what you compare the result against.
We tell you, in detail. During execution you receive reports on how the budget is being used, line by line. If something changes along the way, a material that does not arrive, a price that went up, a new idea of yours, we tell you early and adjust together before it becomes a problem. Scope can grow or shrink; what never changes is that you always know where you stand.

Yes, across the whole Dominican Republic. For clients abroad, many of them in the United States, we offer remote design and consulting: drawings, renders and video-call guidance so your local team builds without losing detail.
Yes: shops, offices, clinics and more. In commercial work the design has to sell or make people work better, so we start with how the space is used and how long it has to last, and then with how it looks.
Yes. The cushions in our projects come from our own workshop in Santiago. We sell collections to decor stores and furniture retailers, and make them to order for project clients.
